2021 GT Cup Championship Calendar

Bute Motorsport are excited to announce the provisional 2021 GT Cup Championship Calendar featuring seven double-header weekends at some of the UKs premium circuits.

Donington Park, as has become somewhat tradition, will host the season opener in April. Brands Hatch follows in May as our teams will return to the iconic GP loop. Our Brands Hatch weekend promises to be a bumper bash of GT racing as we will be supporting GT World Challenge Europe. In June, the series heads to Norfolk for the first of two visits to Snetterton, with Oulton Park following in July. For the penultimate weekend, it's back to Donington Park for a run around the GP circuit in September. The season will then draw to a close in October as we head back to Norfolk for the grand finale at Snetterton.

10/11 April – Donington Park National

1/2 May – Brands Hatch GP (supporting GT World Challenge Europe)

5/6 June – Snetterton 300

3 July – Oulton Park International

14/15 August – Silverstone GP

18/19 September – Donington Park GP

2/3 October – Snetterton 300

The series will continue to use the current track time format which has proven popular over the last two seasons. Entrants start each day with back to back Free Practice and Qualifying sessions, before a 25-minute Sprint and 50-minute Pit Stop race later.

Championship Director Hannah James said: -

“Throughout the season, we have been gathering feedback and working hard with our partners to create the best package GT Cup can offer for 2021. This will include plenty of track time, live coverage on Facebook and Youtube and dedicated GT Cup testing ahead of each event.

Motorsport remains an everchanging landscape and we are doing our best to make sure 2021 is the best and safest season it can be. There will be further announcements to come as we continue to finalise the details for next season.”
