Livesey and Digby seal 2026 crown with a flourish in silverware-filled Snetterton finale

The 2026 GT Cup champions were officially crowned after an enthralling season finale at Snetterton (10/11 October), with Triple M Motorsport scooping the biggest prize of them all in Norfolk thanks to Charlie Digby and Felix Livesey.

The Lamborghini pairing did what they needed to do to win the title, also scooping group GTC honours alongside it to crown a memorable campaign for the Ginetta graduates.

Triple M meanwhile also clinched the Teams Championship by a mere 6.5 points in a tense finale. GT3 was sealed by Team BRIT's Jamie Falvey and Paul Fullick thanks to a double Sunday triumph, and GTO title glory went to SBR Engineering's Paul Bailey and David Brabham. Innovation Racing's Sam Branston and James Wareing clinched GTH honours, while the team's sister car earned GTA championship spoils for Bryn Calder and Kyle Wells.

Qualifying

The final against-the-clock session of 2026 proved to be another exhibition of the field's prowess at extracting every last ounce of speed from their machines.

Charlie Benson once again proved he's the fastest of the GTH entries as his 1m54.693s in the 24-7 Ginetta G56 was an early decisive blow, with James Wareing - in the Innovation Racing Ginetta that won the Group title - pipping Jolt's Aaron Cooke to second.

Overall pole for the opening race was an intriguing back-and-forth between Charlie Digby - racing solo in the Triple M Lamborghini today as co-driver Felix Livesey moved to take over from an ill Harry Yuill in the team's Ginetta - and Falvey in the BMW M4 GT3. The pair traded fastest times, but it was Digby who ultimately took the top spot overall and in GTC by 0.196s, Falvey joining him on the front-row as he took GT3 pole.

GTA pole went the way of Bryn Calder in the Innovation Ginetta, whilst Paul Bailey took GTO top spot.

Pitstop Race

The final 50-minute test of the season proved to be a captivating follow-on from the Qualifying battle between Digby, Falvey and the latter's co-driver Paul Fullick.

In the early running, it was advantage Falvey as he used the BMW's greater aero to pull away in the twisty middle sector and open up a slight advantage over Digby in his Super Trofeo.

Come the pitstops, though, and Digby had unlocked an extra gear and was hunting down Fullick lap-by-lap. Scything his way through lapped traffic, the gap came down to just under three seconds with a single lap remaining.

Digby came so close, but narrowly missed out by half a second as Team BRIT claimed an epic victory and made it three different winners from three races. Digby finished second to win GTC, Topcats Racing coming home third overall and second in the group.

Fourth outright was enough for GTH champions Innovation Racing to win the group in their #25 Ginetta, ahead of the Triple M Motorsport Ginetta this time piloted by overall champion Livesey. Benson and Ben Taylor wrapped up the GTH podium for 24-7 Motorsport.

JTM Engineering Ltd clawed back ground from Qualifying to win the GTA group, with Daniel and Andrew Perry in their Ginetta beating the similar machine of Innovation Racing. Bailey and David Brabham took the win in GTO in their Mercedes-AMG, having celebrated their group title also.

Sprint Race

One final 25-minute burst began with Falvey hoping to wrap up the GT3 crown in style for the Team BRIT squad. He made the perfect getaway to fend off Digby's Lamborghini and set off on his merry way, proving untroubled as he took the flag first to clinch a double win for the BMW men.

Second outright was a position seemingly nobody wanted to take, as firstly Digby slowed to a halt with an issue, then Bertie Bream slowed and pitted with problems in his Huracan to gift second place to Bailey - ending the season strongly for SBR Engineering with another GTO win.

Third went to the eventual GTH group race winners, Jolt Racing, thanks to an electric opening lap by Aaron Cooke who charged past James Wareing into the lead at Hamilton corner in his McLaren Artura.

He romped clear to add a second win of the weekend for the team, while second in the group went the way of Livesey in the first of the Ginettas, followed by Marc Elman for SVG Motorsport after the latter squeezed through by Wareing at Palmers.

GTA again went to Andrew Perry in the #17 JTM Ginetta, but the GTC dramas gifted Keith 'Doc' Bush a chance to take advantage and pull off a fantastic victory in the Team Parker Racing Porsche.

The 2027 GT Cup Championship will feature six rounds once again across the UK's most popular circuits, kicking off at Donington Park across the weekend of 3/4 April.

#4 Felix Livesey

“It’s been a mega year, it’s more than me and Charlie though, it’s the team behind it that make it all possible so I need to thank them. We got the Team Championship as well so that’s really great. It was a last minute call to join the team, but they’ve been phenomenal, the car is mega, so it’s all down to them really. I think we deserved the title, it’s representative of all the hard work we’ve put in on and off the track so I’m really glad to get it done.

#68 Paul Fullick

“The team put in a thousand percent this year. We came here just to learn the car and we’re trying to get our feet under the new GT3. The team put in a 100% every single second of it and I gave us all the luck that we needed to take advantage of that, it’s been a brilliant season, GT Cup have been amazing, thank you very much.”

#37 Aaron Cooke

“The car feels awesome. The team, the guys and girls at Jolt, have given me something where we can literally just go out there and put each lap together with a car that feels awesome underneath you. It’s easy to hit your braking points, hit your turn in points and then get back on the power again. I feel at home in there and I hope we can do a bit more in the future with GT Cup because it’s a great paddock to be around and the people are good too. Plus the racing is pretty hard, especially in this GTH group because we didn’t get a moment’s rest, the 65 was behind us in the Sprint and they put pressure on us but our aim in that Sprint was to make sure we confirmed P2 in Group.”
