Team BRIT joins GT Cup Championship grid to announce its GT3 debut
Team BRIT will further expand the GT3 Group ranks for 2026, as they join the GT Cup Championship with a BMW M4 for a maiden series assault.
The world's only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers has previously cut its teeth in British GT and McLaren Trophy in recent years, and will now make the step up to GT3 machinery for its debut GT Cup campaign.
On the team's 10-year anniversary, its full-season attack pits them against proven group winners for the six-event calendar, for which they will bring an eye-catching BMW M4 GT3 for its drivers, Jamie Falvey and Paul Fullick.
Falvey is no stranger to success with the team, for which he clinched the 2018 Caterham 270R title. The former Royal Marines lance corporal has since raced in Ginetta Supercup, and most recently in LMP3 machinery in Europe.
Southampton-based Fullick meanwhile is a former member of the British Army, and a lower leg amputee. He has risen through from BMW club racing to now facing top-level GT racing in just three seasons with the squad.
Falvey said: "This year is a really pivotal year for Team BRIT and our awesome sponsors. Entering GT3 competition is a big step and long overdue but we’re extremely excited for the challenge ahead and we believe we can turn a few heads this year with our performances.
"GT Cup is a great championship and holds a really strong pedigree in both competition and organisation. It’s the perfect place for us to prove our capabilities. Full push this year!"
Team Principal Mike Scudamore added: “As we celebrate 10 years of Team BRIT, it’s incredible to reflect on the journey we’ve been on. From our very first races to now unveiling a world-class GT3 programme, we’ve shown what’s possible when determination meets innovation."
The GT Cup Championship returns for a new season at Donington Park across the weekend of 11/12 April, featuring the first of two GT Cup 100 events.
