Amalgamation of GTB and GTC Groups – Effective from Snetterton 300 (7–8 June 2025)

Bulletin 2

Subject: Amalgamation of GTB and GTC Groups – Effective from Snetterton 300 (7–8 June 2025)

In accordance with Regulation 1.6.10 of the 2025 GT Cup Championship Sporting & Technical Regulations, which states:

“The Organiser reserves the right to amalgamate groups if there are not enough vehicles in that group to run. Performance allowances will be made as appropriate.”

and Regulation 1.6.7, which provides that:

“In the event that the Organisers require a car to move to a different Group, Championship points may be carried over at the discretion of the Championship Organiser,”

the Organisers have deemed the number of cars within Group GTB insufficient to sustain a viable competition. Therefore, with effect from Rounds 8–11 at Snetterton 300 on 7–8 June 2025, and for the subsequent four rounds of the 2025 Championship, Group GTB will be amalgamated with Group GTC.

Implications of This Change:

  • Points already accrued by Car 80 and Car 13 in GTB will remain recorded in GTB and are unaffected.
  • From the Snetterton round onwards, both cars will begin scoring points in GTC, with a new GTC group total starting from zero.
  • For the purposes of the Overall Championship, and under the discretion provided in Regulation 1.6.7, their GTB points will be combined with any GTC points accrued from this point forward.
  • GTB cars will carry over and serve any pit stop success penalty earned at Brands Hatch during the next pit stop race at Snetterton.
