Race Report for Round Eight - Pit-Stop

More silverware for JMH Automotive as Ruston and Whitehouse take four from four

JMH Automotive had a tougher task of winning the second endurance race of the weekend. Chamberlain briefly surrendered the lead from pole after a charging Gareth Downing grabbed the advantage for the NMA squad, but the Mosler dropped back later in the 50-minute contest.

Chamberlain held the lead from Seale after pit stops, but the latter’s Lamborghini Huracan closed in rapidly with Saturday winner Stanley at the wheel. After both swapped places, a mistake for Chamberlain handed Stanley the lead in the dying minutes, securing a third win of the season and GTO honours.

GTC was won by the FF Corse pairing of Johnny Mowlem and Bonamy Grimes, largely thanks to a bold lunge at Oggies by Grimes inside the Lamborghini of James Webb, who handed the car over to brother Tom later in the race. A tense GTH scrap went down to the wire, as Steve Ruston held on grimly in the JMH Automotive McLaren 570 ahead of the Porsche Cayman of a chasing Dino Zamparelli by less than a second.

GTB honours again went to way of David Frankland who enjoyed a clean sweep at Snetterton, while GTA was won by the Ginetta G55 pairing of Team HARD youngsters Kris Prosser and Callum Jenkins.
