2027 GT Cup Championship calendar announced ahead of 20th Anniversary
The GT Cup Championship can provisionally announce a six-round calendar for 2027, ahead of what will include its 20th anniversary celebrations.
The series will once again play host to a total of six meetings, held across a variety of the UK’s most famous circuits and a total of 20 races.
Next season kicks off with the first of what will be two visits to Snetterton, the first of those trips to Norfolk taking place across the weekend of 3/4 April. Snetterton will also mark a very special occasion, on the 20th anniversary of the GT Cup Championship's inception. It also coincides with the exact same circuit that hosted that very first race back in 2007.
Silverstone GP remains on the calendar and is brought forward to an earlier date of 8/9 May, before visits to Brands Hatch GP and Donington Park fill up what is set to be an exciting summer. Returns to both Snetterton (4/5 September) and Donington round out the campaign, with the latter returning to the season finale slot across the weekend of 25/26 September.
2027 will again include a brace of GT Cup 100 events, which will be held at Silverstone and the first Donington Park visit. These will again feature two endurance races; a 50-minute contest on the Saturday, which is then followed up on Sunday with a 100-minute showpiece race.
Other events will retain the traditional format of one 25-minute Sprint and a 50-minute Pitstop Race on Saturdays - repeated again on Sundays.
