Drawing to a Close - Snetterton hosts 2026 GT Cup Championship Season Finale

After a full-on season of action-packed racing, the GT Cup Championship’s 2026 campaign enters its final weekend at Norfolk’s Snetterton 300 circuit.

Coming into the weekend, Triple M Motorsport’s Felix Livesey and Charlie Digby retain their lead in the overall title fight with a grand total of 416.5 points. A 93-point gap separates them from Innovation Racing’s Sam Branston and James Wareing. Just 14 points further back sits Team BRIT’s Jamie Falvey and Paul Fullick.

Two extra faces join the grid this weekend, in the form of GT Cup veterans Chris Murphy and Brent Millage. Murphy returns in his BMW M3 in Group GTA, while Millage joins Oselli Motorsport with a Porsche Cayman in Group GTH.

With Livesey and Digby leading the overall points table, it should come as no surprise that they’re also heading up the Group GTC championship. In fact, with over 140 points on their nearest rivals, and just 126 points up for grabs, the pair come to Snetterton as Group GTC champions. Second in the points table is JMH Automotive’s Frank Morris and James Pickford, with the DWG Motorsports with Topcats Racing’s Lamborghini Huracan of Jack Gadd and Dan Brown taking third spot.

The Triple M pairing swept the board last time out, claiming all four of the available wins despite the turbulent weekend at Brands Hatch. The #1 Topcats Racing Lamborghini of Bertie Bream and Fraser Fenwick joined them on almost every podium, and Focus Cup graduates Nev Voss and Ali Topley showed potential, claiming their maiden GT Cup podium.

Group GTA is a little closer at the top with just over 23 points separating Innovation Racing’s Bryn Calder and Kyle Wells from SVG Motorsport’s Neil Wallace and Ian Astley. Some solid results for JTM Engineering’s Daniel Perry helped him close the gap to third place Raceworks Motorsport, so there’s still plenty to play for in this group. Wins at September’s outing were shared between Team BRIT, Innovation Racing and SVG Motorsport, with the latter taking two out of the four.

Innovation also leads the way in Group GTH with the #25 Ginetta in the hands of Branston and Wareing, from Jolt Racing’s John Ingram and Aaron Cooke. Cooke made an impressive debut at Brands Hatch, and the team took home some good results, including two group wins.

Sitting third in Group GTH is the SVG Motorsport Ginetta with Marc Elman and Cameron Pratt-Thompson aboard, though only a single point separates second and third. Triple M’s second car in the hands of Harry Yuill and Rob Garofall is only four points further back, so it’s still very likely to shuffle this weekend. All of these drivers have proven they’ve got what it takes to claim the top spot, so expect some fierce on-track battles.

Group GTO sees the return of David Brabham after a quick jaunt at the Goodwood Revival last month (along with Group GTC’s Keith Bush), who along with Paul Bailey, leads the GTO points table. The pair will no doubt be looking for a better weekend than last time out in Kent, though Bailey did swipe the final Sprint Race victory on the Sunday.

Finally, in Group GT3, it’s currently Team BRIT’s Fullick and Falvey leading the way ahead of PB Racing by JMH’s Peter Erceg and Marcus Clutton, and Paddock Motorsport’s Mark Smith. A pair of wins for Team BRIT last time out sets them up well for this weekend.

The 2026 season finale kicks off with free practice on Saturday morning (10th October) at 10.25, before the first of four action-packed races at 13.55. All four races will be streamed live and for free on our YouTube channel.

It may be the end of this campaign, but the GT Cup is already looking ahead to 2027 with the announcement of the new calendar, as well as a new group (GTL) to celebrate the championship’s 20th season.
